Arcadia’s Electrifying Shows at Battersea Power Station
London’s iconic Battersea Power Station recently witnessed a grand spectacle after a decade-long renovation. The 5-day celebration, known as ‘The Festival of Power,’ marked the remarkable re-opening of this historical landmark. Among the highlights of this electrifying event were Arcadia’s ‘Lords of Lightning’ show and the premiere of their new performance, ‘Lux.’
The ‘Lords of Lightning‘ mesmerized the audience with their jaw-dropping act, standing upon musical Tesla Coils that expelled an astounding 4 million volts of electricity from their bodies. Lightning crackled across the sky, with the iconic Battersea Power Station providing an incredible backdrop.
However, the electrifying display didn’t end there. Arcadia also unveiled their latest masterpiece, ‘Lux,’ in an unprecedented show of lights and aerial wonders. In this performance, a daring aerial artist clad in a mirror suit was elevated from a concealed chamber within a champagne bar. As the artist soared above the crowds, a breathtaking 360-degree lighting rig illuminated the entire Turbine Hall A, leaving the audience spellbound.
Trago Studio had the privilege of capturing the essence of ‘Lux’ through multiple rehearsals held in Bristol leading up to the festival. We then had the opportunity to film the one-off performance, which was a part of a larger show masterfully produced by the Bearded Kitten team. Capturing the magic of an Arcadia show is always a delight, with visual treats and exciting moments that keep the editing process thrilling.
