We created this Universal Credit appeal video for The Trussell Trust alongside our good friends at If Not Now Digital.
Ahead of the Government’s new plans to cut Universal Credit by £20 a week, The Trussell Trust required a campaign video to raise awareness of the impact the proposed cuts would have.
With an estimated 1 million being forced to use food banks after the cuts, it was imperative that Trussell Trust made clear to the government just how many people would be affected across the country.
For the first stage of the project we created a video demonstrating how these cuts would impact some of the user’s basic essentials; such as food, heating & toiletries.
We then spoke with users of the Universal Credit scheme and adapted their main concerns into text messages to be featured in our second video. If Not Now set-up a number to collate all of the correspondence to be presented to Mr Sunak, while we produced the following film to encourage people nationwide to do the same.
